Who we are

How the Distretto del Cibo was born

 

The Distretto del Cibo del Chierese-Carmagnolese was created as a joint venture along with different entities. Those who took part in the project were: local administrations, producer associations, workers in the agricultural sector, professional associations, educational and cultural institutions in the area of the Distretto del Cibo del Chierese-Carmagnolese.

The first Distretto del Cibo in the Piedmont region was born following the signing of a deal on the 31st of May 2022. But the Distretto del Cibo del Chierese-Carmagnolese’s story starts in the early 2000s with the definition of typical products from the area of Turin and the creation of the network of “Strade dei Colori e dei Sapori”, which underlines the area’s typical products.
